Are you in love with mixing high end pieces with rustic materials as much as I am? I do it a lot in my personal decor and it came naturally when I was asked to decorate a Thanksgiving table for a big event in Baton Rouge. Everything is handmade including the hand painted pumpkins, marble & reclaimed wood runner, burlap fabric runner, all the way to the menus. It was great fun creating it all and tutorials with where you can buy everything is coming shortly!
For now enjoy, be inspired, and put those stretchy pants on because Thanksgiving is here!
Marble tile from Home Depot. It was originally a square mosaic piece intended for backsplashes but when I found it, I knew I had to use it on my table.
Can you believe these candle holders are Oui yogurt glass containers?! They are such a great shape and the perfect size for so many other uses.
These pumpkins started off very heirloom tomato looking and not my first choice but when you have to throw elbows for the last faux pumpkins in town, you make it work. After a few coats of homemade chalk paint, liming wax, and a final buffing, they came out better than expected.
