Top Dry Hand Treatments
My skin is naturally on the dry side so my hands easily go from normal to cracked in two days if I don’t take care of them. Hello hangnails! I have struggled with finding the right dry hand treatment products for years as apparently my requirements are high.
- Unscented or very mild scent (no florals)
- Non greasy
- Does not leave a residue
- Does not need to be reapplied throughout the day/night
I am not a germaphobe but rather I am messy. Whether I’m woodworking, painting, or cooking; I seem to always be getting glue, paint, or sauce on my hands thus forcing me to wash my hands multiple times a day. {Dropping food on myself while eating is another issue but that’s why I utilize this laundry secret a little more than I like to admit.} I do wear nitrile gloves a lot of the time but when I’m working outside, they make my hands sweaty & pruny. Damn you Louisiana climate!
Favorite Hand Products
I just recently discovered Eucerin Advanced Repair and it has changed my hands. I only have to apply it at night when I go to bed and it truly is unscented & non greasy.
When my hands are super dry or I have time to sit without using my hands, I couple these two miracle workers
Why use both? Well, the Theraplex Emollient is very sticky & every piece of lint in your home will be on your hands in an hour. The gel gloves keep the emollient on your hands doing its job while saving your clothing, furniture, walls from the stickiness. If you have dry feet, use the emollient with these gel socks.
It’s a short list but when you find what works, you don’t need anything else.
